Abstract

Organisasi yang tidak efisien dan inovatif saat ini cepat menjadi tidak relevan besok. Ambidexterity (yaitu, secara bersamaan melakukan dua kegiatan yang tampaknya bertentangan, seperti eksploitasi dan eksplorasi) membantu organisasi untuk mengatasi tantangan ini dan, karenanya, menjadi semakin populer dengan berbagai aplikasi dalam penelitian sistem informasi (IS). Namun, kami tidak memiliki pemahaman sistematis tentang penelitian ambidexterity, aliran penelitiannya, dan lintasan masa depan mereka. Oleh karena itu, kami melakukan tinjauan literatur sistematis tentang ambidexterity dalam penelitian IS dan mengidentifikasi enam aliran penelitian berbeda yang menggunakan lensa ambidexterity: ambidexterity organisasi yang mendukung TI, kemampuan TI ambidextrous, ambidexterity dalam pengembangan IS, strategi IS ambidextrous, hubungan antar-organisasi yang ambidextrous, dan ambidexterity organisasi di IS. Kami menyajikan keadaan penelitian saat ini di setiap aliran. Lebih dari itu, kami secara komprehensif meninjau area aplikasi, konseptualisasi, anteseden untuk, dan hasil ambidexterity. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berkontribusi pada munculnya tema ambidexterity dalam penelitian IS.
