Abstract

Pertumbuhan ekonomi merupakan sebuah tolak ukur dalam mengetahui seberapa maju dan berkembangnya suatu wilayah. Tinggi rendahnya pertumbuhan ekonomi sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal maupun eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap tingkat pengangguran di Sumatera Utara. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik Sumatera Utara. Pengelolaan data penelitian ini menggunakan program SPSS V-19. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, dapat ditarik kesimpulan yaitu pada uji parsial (uji t) diketahui bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap jumlah pengangguran di Sumatera Utara
