Penentuan Harga Opsi sebagai Alat Lindung Nilai Petani Gabah Menggunakan Metode Monte Carlo dan Teknik Control Variate

Abstract

Opsi adalah suatu kontrak yang memberikan hak kepada pembelinya atau pemegangnya, bukan kewajiban, untuk membeli atau pun menjual sebuah aset yang menjadi acuan dengan harga strike tertentu di waktu tertentu. Opsi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah opsi call, opsi put dan opsi biner. Semua opsi tersebut adalah opsi tipe Eropa. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode numerik untuk menentukan harga atau nilai opsi. Metode numerik yang digunakan adalah metode Monte Carlo (MC) dan teknik control variate (CV). Teknik CV tersebut berguna untuk mereduksi variansi dari hasil atau nilai opsi yang diperoleh dari metode MC, sehingga nilai opsi yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik CV lebih akurat dibandingkan dengan hasil nilai opsi yang diperoleh dari metode MC standar. Setelah menentukan harga opsi, petani dapat menggunakan harga tersebut sebagai acuan untuk membeli opsi yang digunakan sebagai alat lindung nilai dari hasil panen yang harganya berisiko menurun.
