PEMBUATAN POLYBAG ORGANIK SEBAGAI TEMPAT MEDIA PEMBIBITAN DARI AMPAS TEBU (Saccharum officinarum)

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di rumah kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Samudra. Penelitian ini dimulai pada bulan Juli-September 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini membuat kantong tanam organik (polybag organik) dari bahan utama limbah tebu. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial. Adapun susunan perlakuannya G1 : 100% ampas tebu, 0% pelepah tebu, G2 : 75% ampas tebu, 25% pelepah tebu, G3 : 50% ampas tebu, 50% pelepah tebu. Untuk kelenturan polybag organik maka diperlukan penambahan NaOH sebanyak 20 gram. Hasil analisis data secara statistik menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan berbagai komposisi limbah tebu untuk membuat polybag organik menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter ketebalan, pH, kadar air, massa, rasio C/N, dan daya serap air polybag organik. Polybag organik yang tebal adalah 1.42 cm terdapat pada perlakuan G2, pH polybag organik yang baik adalah 10.21 terdapat pada perlakuan G1, kadar air polybag organik yang baik adalah 29.62% terdapat pada perlakuan G2, massa polybag organik yang baik adalah 182.98 gr terdapat pada perlakuan G1, dan rasio C/N polybag organik yang baik adalah 18.47 terdapat pada perlakuan G1
