Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan gairah kerja karyawan, maka perusahaan harus dapat memberikan motivasi yang tepat karena pengaruhnya sangat besar dalam meningkatkan/ menentukan besar kecilnya suatu prestasi. Dengan demikian, setelah adanya motivasi yang dapat tepat diharapkan karyawan bekerja secara lebih efisien dan efektif. Motivasi merupakan salah satu unsur yang penting untuk menunjang produktivitas karyawan, tanpa adanya motivasi dari pimpinan para karyawan akan kehilangan semangat kerja. Hal ini disebabkan anggapan bahwa tenaga kerja hanyalah sebagai faktor produksi, ini berpengaruh pada etos kerja karyawan yang masih rendah. Dan untuk meningkatkan etos dan gairah kerja karyawan maka perusahaan harus dapat memberikan motivasi yang tepat dan disesuaikan dengan situasi perusahaan. Pemberian motivasi salah satunya dapat berupa pemberian bonus/insentif. Kata Kunci : motivasi, produktivitas, karyawan, insentif
