KAJIAN PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI UBI JALAR (Ipomoea batatas L.) TERHADAP BOKASHI TANKOS KELAPA SAWIT DAN PEMANGKASAN

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kajian pertumbuhan dan produksi ubi jalar terhadap pemberian tandan kosong kelapa sawit dan pemangkasan telah dilaksanakan di Desa Sidodadi, Kecamatan Kisaran Barat, Kabupaten Asahan Propinsi Sumatera Utara dengan ketinggian tempat ± 15 m diatas permukaan laut dengan topografi datar. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga bulan Agustus 2016. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah Bokashi Tankos Kelapa Sawit dengan 4 taraf yaitu : B0 = 0 kg/plot (kontrol), B1 = 1 kg/plot, B2 = 2 kg/plot dan B3 = 3 kg/plot. Faktor kedua adalah Pemangkasan dengan 3 taraf yaitu P0 = Tanpa pemangkasan, P1 = Dipangkas, ditinggalkan 75 cm dan P2 = Dipangkas, ditinggalkan 150 cm. Hasil penelitian bahwa pemberian Bokashi Tankos Kelapa Sawit tidak menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap panjang tanaman umur 2, 4 dan 6 minggu setelah tanam, dan berpengaruh nyata pada panjang tanaman umur 8 minggu setelah tanam serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah umbi per tanaman sampel, produksi umbi per tanaman sampel dan produksi umbi per plot. Perlakuan Bokashi Tankos Kelapa Sawit (B3) menunjukkan pengaruh yang terbaik terhadap parameter panjang tanaman (232,85 cm), jumlah umbi per tanaman sampel (12.78 buah), produksi umbi per tanaman sampel (2,30 kg) dan produksi umbi per plot (5,19 kg). Perlakuan pemangkasan menunjukkan pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap panjang tanaman umur 2, 4, 6 dan 8 minggu setelah tanam, namun berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah umbi per tanaman sampel, tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi umbi per tanaman sampel, dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi umbi per plot. Perlakuan Pemangkasan (P2) menunjukkan pengaruh yang terbaik menghasilkan panjang tanaman (207,55 cm), jumlah umbi per tanaman sampel (10,83 buah), produksi umbi per tanaman sampel (1,81 kg) dan produksi umbi per plot (4,15 kg).
