Internet y Eficiencia Tecnica en la Mype Peruana

Abstract

Este trabajo tiene por objetivo estudiar empiricamente la relacion entre el acceso a internet y el desempeño de las pequeñas unidades de produccion en el Peru. El analisis se hace con base a la Encuesta de Micro y Pequeña Empresa (EMYPE) realizada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadistica e Informatica (INEI) para el año 2013, y se utiliza la tecnica de Analisis Envolvente de datos (DEA) para el calculo de indices de eficiencia tecnica y la posterior identificacion de las covariables que influyen en dichos indices. En general, la evidencia obtenida sugiere una fuerte asociacion estadistica entre indices altos de eficiencia tecnica y la tenencia del servicio de internet en una MYPE.
