Analisis del Servicio de Internet Movil: Aplicacion de Tecnicas de Analisis Multivariado

Abstract

El presente documento tiene como objetivo describir el servicio de Internet movil en Peru, con la finalidad de comparar las condiciones en las que se provee el servicio en nuestro pais con las condiciones existentes en otros paises. Para ello, en la medida de lo posible, se recurre a tecnicas multivariadas debido a la cantidad de variables que intervienen en el analisis. Asi, se emplean tablas de contingencia y analisis de correspondencia para conocer las caracteristicas de uso y acceso del servicio en Peru. En base a la informacion recopilada sobre ofertas en otros paises, se realiza: (i) una ecuacion de regresion para estimar el precio que tendrian los planes de Peru en la region y compararlos con los precios que el usuario realmente paga, (ii) comparacion sobre precios a nivel internacional a fin de conocer que planes, en otros paises, son dominados estrictamente por (o dominan estrictamente a) los planes de Peru, y (iii) un analisis de Cluster con la finalidad de mostrar que grupos de paises presentan una oferta comercial similar a la de Peru.
