Abstract

La présente étude examine les données dont on dispose quant à l'incidence exercée sur la répartition des revenus, dans un certain nombre de pays de l'OCDE, par la fiscalité et la dépense publique. Elle entre dans le cadre d'une étude plus vaste, portant sur le rôle du secteur public, et destinée à être publiée ultérieurement. Son apport principal consiste à rassembler les résultats d'études existantes, qu'elle présente sous une forme grosso modo comparable, et non à effectuer de nouvelles analyses ou à fournir de nouveaux résultats. Les informations y sont présentées de manière à permettre au lecteur d'apprécier l'influence exercée sur la répartition du revenu par les transferts publics en espèces, les avantages découlant de la dépense publique et la fiscalité, tant isolément que dans leur ensemble. L'étude décrit brièvement la méthodologie sur laquelle s'appuient ces estimations et en examine les principaux résultats, pays par pays et de manière globale ...
