Decisiones de reestructuración organizativa en la gran empresa española durante la década de los noventa

Abstract

El trabajo analiza el fenómeno de la reestructuración empresarial o “downsizing” proponiendo un modelo que agrupa los determinantes de la reducción de la fuerza laboral en factores reactivos y proactivos. Para la contrastación de las hipótesis se plantea un estudio comparado de los factores que inciden en la probabilidad o frecuencia del “downsizing” y en la magnitud o alcance de esta práctica utilizando análisis de regresión lineal y logística con datos de panel. Los resultados muestran una mayor incidencia de los factores reactivos en la decisión de reestructuración, si bien se aprecian diferencias dependiendo del periodo analizado.
