Significado y fundamentos de la relación comercial de plazo largo. Una propuesta integradora de enfoques

Abstract

La búsqueda de la eficiencia a través de la acción conjunta, la cooperación y la orientación temporal es sin duda alguna una de las características más sobresalientes de las relaciones que actualmente entablan las empresas. Esta tendencia observada tiene su reflejo académico en el desarrollo de una corriente de investigación que desde distintos enfoques se preocupa por explicar el fenómeno relacional. En el presente trabajo abordamos el estudio de los factores que propician el establecimiento de relaciones comerciales de largo plazo entre empresas. Las hipótesis propuestas, que aluden a la diversidad de razones determinantes, se contrastan empíricamente con la información de un tipo de relaciones concretas: las relaciones fabricante-suministrador en el sector del automóvil.
