Abstract

La transformación digital tiene en sus fundamentos un cambio cultural, manifiesto en la redefinición de las prácticas para la innovación y mejora de procesos y productos, llevando a la paulatina integración de las tecnologías existentes hacia el interior de las organizaciones y en su cadena de valor. Las empresas incorporan las tecnologías habilitadoras (internet de las cosas, robótica, fabricación aditiva, cloud computing, etc.) en sus procesos de gestión y de elaboración, brindando agregado de valor a través de la reducción de tiempos y costos de procesamiento y en la mejor interacción con clientes y proveedores a través de canales de venta y atención online. Los estudios sobre adopción de tecnologías habilitadoras y el grado de preparación (madurez digital) de las empresas para aprovecharlas se centra principalmente en nuestro país en las empresas manufactureras con escasez de información sobre la situación en otros sectores de actividad económica. La medición del grado de preparación de las empresas para afrontar los retos de la transformación digital se realiza a través de diferentes herramientas, una de ellas, diseñada en el país, es el Autodiagnóstico de Madurez Digital.
