Abstract

En este capítulo se analiza la estructura económica de la provincia de Buenos Aires como contexto en el cual se desarrolla la actividad del turismo rural y periurbano (TRyP), las características de esta modalidad desde el punto de vista económico, los problemas vinculados al financiamiento de los emprendedores y la generación de empleo. Una dificultad que atraviesa todo el análisis económico de la actividad turística en general, y del turismo rural en particular, es la carencia de investigaciones que profundicen en esta dimensión y por consiguiente, la falta de datos que permitan cuantificar las variables bajo análisis. En consecuencia, se revisan las fuentes disponibles y el diagnóstico se complementa con un enfoque cualitativo.
