Diferencias de ingreso entre jefes de familia en la ciudad de Mar del Plata. Un enfoque de la teoría del capital humano

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las determinantes del ingreso de los jefes de familia en la ciudad de Mar del Plata, empleando el enfoque de la teoría del capital humano que centra su atención en el poder explicativo de las variables educación y experiencia o entrenamiento laboral. El modelo econométrico aplicado se basó en la función estadística del ingreso, desarrollada por Mincer, donde los años de escolaridad, la experiencia laboral y variables cualitativas como raza y género cumplen un rol importante en la determinación del ingreso. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron estimar el ingreso por edad según el nivel de educación de individuos de la misma categoría ocupacional. Se concluyó que las variables que mejor explican el nivel de ingreso son el nivel máximo de educación alcanzado y los años de experiencia laboral adquiridos.
