Abstract

La importancia creciente de la Administración de la Producción/Operaciones está relacionada con la superación del enfoque racionalizador y centralizador de la misión de esta área de las organizaciones. El análisis, el diagnóstico y la visión estratégica de la Dirección de Operaciones permiten a la empresa acomodarse a los cambios que exige la economía moderna. Una efectiva gestión, con un flujo constante de la información, una organización del trabajo adecuada y una estructura que fomente la participación, son instrumentos imprescindibles para que las Operaciones haga su trabajo.
