Abstract

El objetivo general de la investigación es comprender, desde una perspectiva territorial, el proceso de cambio tecnológico llevado a cabo por PyMEs del partido de General Pueyrredon en el período post-convertibilidad en aquellas ramas de actividad industrial con alto potencial de crecimiento económico. Se busca además analizar las características de los recursos humanos demandados por ellas y la disponibilidad de éstos en el territorio, como factores que contribuyen a llevar adelante mejoras tecnológicas y a elevar la competitividad. El estudio se centra en las empresas pequeñas y medianas, en virtud de que éstas concentran la mayor parte de la producción y el empleo de la zona. Adicionalmente, el énfasis del estudio se encuentra en actividades con alta potencialidad de crecimiento económico, ya que la elección deliberada de promoción de las mismas, permite a una región mejorar el bienestar, aprovechando su capacidad de agregar valor (Reinert, 2000).
