Incentivos à localização em Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (os séculos XII-XVI)

Author

Abstract

This work focus on the importance of local incentives, in the region of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (Portugal), during the 12th and the 16th centuries. It aims to test the hipothesis that actualised incentives are factors of of municipal attractivity. For this purpose, a model is enunciated; this model is inspired by the usual context of industrial location. As results from the documental evidence this work concludes that the presence of actualised incentives were important in the decentralized decisions from the "Forais", in the considered period.
