Abstract

Austria is the third country at a world level in terms of per capita furniture spending after Norway and Switzerland. 71% of Austria's furniture consumption is satisfied by imports, thus representing one of the highest ratios among the Western European countries (average 50%). The top two Austrian suppliers are Germany and Italy, which together provide a combined share of 65% of the total imports.
