Using a Calendar and Explanatory Instructions to Aid Within-Household Selection in Mail Surveys

Abstract

Although researchers can easily select probability samples of addresses using the U.S. Postal Service’s Delivery Sequence File, randomly selecting respondents within households for surveys remains challenging.
