Abstract

La letteratura di crescita esogena ha posto l���accento sull���importanza dell���accumulazione di capitale fisico come fattore di crescita economica di lungo periodo. Pi?? recentemente, tuttavia, laNuova Teoria della Crescita ha chiarito che il processo di sviluppo di una nazione ?� endogeno alsistema economico ed ?� determinato da una consapevole attivit?� di accumulazione di capitalesoprattutto immateriale (ad esempio, capitale umano e tecnologico) da parte di agenti (individui e/oimprese) motivati dalla ricerca di un rendimento economico (salari e/o profitti) pi?? elevato.Il nostro lavoro si propone di fondere queste due branche della letteratura allo scopo dianalizzare il ruolo del capitale umano nella spiegazione delle differenze di reddito pro-capite traPaesi.
