Indicatori di dotazione infrastrutturale: un confronto fra Milano e alcune città europee

Abstract

In questo paper la dotazione infrastrutturale di Barcellona, Lione, Milano, Monaco e Barcellona è sottoposta ad un'analisi comparativa allo scopo di stabilire una gerarchia fra le città. A una matrice di dati descriventi la diffusione, la capacità e le prestazioni delle infrastrutture urbane sono stati applicati due metodi di analisi statistica: l'analisi delle componenti principali e l'analisi multicriterio. Con queste due tecniche è stato possibile realizzare un'economia descrittiva riducendo il numero di variabili necessarie a descrivere un concetto multidimensionale qual'è quello di infrastrutture e verificare l'influenza del metodo d'indaginescelto sul risultato. Dalle due analisi sono emersi sostanzialmente gli stessi risultati: Lione e Monaco possiedono un patrimonio infrastrutturale non solo quantitativamente più consistente, ma anche più efficiente.
