La teoria delle fluttuazioni economiche: una prospettiva storica

Abstract

Questo lavoro ripercorre le diverse fasi dello sviluppo della teoria delle fluttuazioni economiche in prospettiva storica. L'obiettivo è di mostrare come le idee sulla natura e le cause delle fluttuazioni economiche si siano sviluppate nel corso del tempo, e come questo processo di sviluppo abbia avuto esso stesso un andamento ciclico, ricorrente ma non periodico. Al contempo, questo lavoro intende mantenere una stretta connessione tra teorie e fatti. L'analisi dei diversi approcci teorici cerca prtanto di sottolineare il contributo di ognuno di questi alla spiegazione degli eventi e delle regolarità empiriche delle fluttuazioni macroeconomiche.
