Approche psychosociale de l'attachement aux lieux de travail

Abstract

Notre recherche s'inscrit dans le cadre de la théorie de l’attachement au lieu (" Theory of Place Attachment ") élaborée par Shumaker et Taylor (1983) et enrichie par Giuliani (1991) et Altman et Low (1992) et se propose de cerner l'attachement au lieu de travail, tant au niveau global qu'au niveau des différents lieux fréquentés et d'évaluer l'impact de diverses variables biosociologiques, organisationnelles et psychosociologiques sur cet attachement. 121 agents féminins travaillant à l'Hôtel des Impôts de la région Centre ont rempli un questionnaire comprenant quatre parties: (a) des items cernant les variables organisationnelles, (b) une échelle d'attachement global au lieu de travail, (c) des items évaluant l'attachement aux divers lieux de travail et (d) des échelles de satisfaction et de motivation au travail. Les résultats montrent que les agents s'attachent plus intensément aux lieux favorisant la communication informelle. Par ailleurs, deux types de prédicteurs de l'attachement au lieu de travail ont été repérés: ceux qui donnent du sens au travail, et ceux qui permettent de s'isoler pour évacuer le stress lié aux contraintes organisationnelles.
