Abstract

In this paper conditions under which compensatory policies for the unequal leve1 of regional development should be designed are proposed. It favours the principie of equal treatment of al1 citizens on the part of the public sector regardless of where they live. The inequalities are interpreted in terms of differencials in demand excesses (deficits of public goods), using factorial analysis. El presente trabajo se plantea las condiciones bajo las cuáles deben diseñarse políticas compensatorias del desigual nivel de desarrollo regional. Defiende el principio de igualdad de trato a todos los ciudadanos, independientemente del territorio que habiten, por parte del sector público. Las desigualdades se interpretan en téminos de diferencias en los excesos de demanda (déficits) de bienes públicos llevándose a cabo su medición mediante la utilización de la técnica estadística del análisis factorial.
