    Abstract

    A maioria dos programas de transferência condicionada de renda (TCR) na América Latina seleciona uma mulher como a principal beneficiária da transferência. Na maioria dos casos, trata-se da mãe das crianças que vivem no agregado familiar, ou da mulher responsável pelo cuidado dessas crianças. A razão é que as mulheres costumam concentrar seus gastos financeiros em bens e serviços com maior probabilidade de trazer efeitos positivos ao bem-estar das crianças. (?)
