Abstract
Certains économistes mettent le coût excessif du travail sur le compte d?une stagnation du nombre d?emplois productifs dans les pays à faible revenu. C?est la thèse qu?avance un document de la Banque Mondiale publié en 2005 intitulé Jobs in Kenya: Concept Note (Les emplois au Kenya : annotation sur le concept). Se pose toutefois la question de savoir si cette explication est plausible.
