The social and labour dimensions of globalization and integration process : experience of CARICOM

Abstract

Comprises five papers which explore how economic integration processes are affecting workers in the Caribbean region, focusing on the effects of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy. Examines labour laws implemented to minimise the negative effects of globalization and trade liberalization on workers and discusses the need to modernize labour administrations and to establish a framework for social dialogue in the region.
