Abstract

Comprises six papers which explore the labour and social aspects of economic integration in North and South America during the 1990s. Reviews the activities of Mercosur in the labour and social security areas and investigates the content and impact of the North American Agreement on Labour Cooperation (NAALC). Examines temporary labour immigration in the North American region and reports on communitarian social law and policy in the European Union.
