Local response to globalization : MESTA region, Bulgaria

Abstract

Examines regional economic development activities in the MESTA region. Analyses how well the region has responded to the changes caused by globalization while maintaining local employment and stimulating job growth. Describes locally based initiatives for economic development and assesses ILO activities in the promotion of small enterprise development.
