Abstract

Working paper on agrarian reform and rural area poverty alleviation in Nicaragua - examines the rural economy and agrarian structure prior to and after the 1979 revolution, focusing on land tenure, standard of living, rural labour force and patterns of economic growth; describes the growth model now being implemented; evaluates the impact of agrarian reform measures on economic recovery, etc. Bibliography, statistical tables.
