Abstract

Research report presenting measurement and evaluation techniques for the determination of basic needs index numbers using international statistical sources - describes the organization of the basic needs data base as well as the research methodology and econometric model employed in the assessment of social indicators, economic indicators, demographic aspects, health, education, nutrition, housing and other indicators. Bibliography pp. 79 and 80 and illustrations.
