Abstract

ILO pub-wep pub. Working paper estimating the effect of employment policies allowing for labour cost subsidies on employment creation - reviews wages-employment subsidy programmes in France and Germany, Federal Republic, considers the impact of subsidies on labour supply and labour demand and on inflation, and discusses financing and budgetary costs per job created. Bibliography pp. 20 to 22 and statistical tables.
