The Sultanate of Oman : economic development, the domestic labour market and international migration

Abstract

Working paper on a case study of the impact of international migration movements on the labour market in Oman - covers labour supply, labour demand, migrant worker characteristics by age, sex, occupation and educational level (incl. Expatriate workers), considers the effects of labour force emigration on economic development, and constitutes part of a WEP research project on migration for employment. One-page bibliography, diagrams, references and statistical tables.
