Dinamika Foreign Direct Investment Dan Nilai Tukar: Pendekatan Interkoneksi Di Asean

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menganalisis hubungan foreign direct investment (FDI) dengan nilai tukar dan beberapa variabel makroekonomi di 10 negara kawasan ASEAN dengan memasukkan hubungan interkoneksi antar negara. Studi ini juga menguji model FDI yang paling optimal untuk menjelaskan hubungan spasial antar negara ASEAN dengan menggunakan tiga model data panel spasial, yaitu: spatial autoregressive (SAR), spatial error model (SEM), dan spatial durbin model (SDM) dalam periode 2002-2017. Hasilnya menunjukkan model panel spasial SAR dan SEM merupakan model yang paling cocok untuk menjelaskan pengaruh nilai tukar dan variabel makroekonomi terhadap aliran FDI yang masuk ke ASEAN dari seluruh dunia (global), extraregion ASEAN, dan intra-region ASEAN. Hasil model panel spasial SAR, SEM, dan SDM memberikan kesimpulan bahwa FDI negara tetangga mempengaruhi FDI negara tuan rumah di kawasan ASEAN dalam bentuk pure vertical FDI dan export-platform FDI. Nilai tukar hanya mempengaruhi FDI yang masuk ke Kawasan ASEAN dari extra-region ASEAN. Sementara itu, variabel-variabel makroekonomi, seperti ukuran pasar, pertumbuhan keuangan, dan stabilitas politik memiliki pengaruh terhadap FDI yang masuk ke ASEAN.
