La violencia en Venezuela: Dimensionamiento y políticas de control

Abstract

Para presentar nuestro trabajo hemos optado por comenzar con la fuente de conocimiento más obvia, las estadísticas policiales. En la primera parte analizaremos las dificultades de trabajar con ellas y el uso que hemos hecho. En la segunda parte analizaremos los datos que nos proporciona esta fuente. En la última, los datos de otras fuentes, de otras voces que nos permiten percibir las limitaciones de las estadísticas policiales y profundizar el conocimiento: una encuesta de victimización y los datos de la morgue de Caracas.
