Pobreza étnica en Honduras

Abstract

El presente estudio analiza los datos y fuentes demográficas sobre la población étnica de Honduras, así como la situación de pobreza en general, y en especial la étnica, en base a los escasos datos disponibles y accesibles. La descripción del marco institucional y jurídico vigente complementa la interpretación de la situación contemporánea. La presentación de un perfil etnocultural y socioeconómico de las etnias minoritarias de Honduras ocupa un lugar central del estudio para sensibilizar al lector interesado en las necesidades de cada etnia. El análisis de su potencial en recursos humanos y naturales abre la perspectiva para el mejoramiento de la situación socioeconómica y las respectivas estrategias de supervivencia.
