Abstract

En este documento de trabajo se efectúa una medición del capital humano en los municipios de Bolivia mediante la construcción de un índice compuesto que se ha denominado Índice Municipal de Capital Humano (IMCH). El índice se estructuró en dos dimensiones: salud y educación, dentro de cada dimensión se incorporaron dos componentes cuyos conceptos subyacentes se relacionan y se guían por preguntas que buscamos responder con los datos disponibles. Cada componente, a su vez, se define mediante un conjunto de indicadores de resultado que responden a las preguntas conceptuales planteadas.
