Abstract

"In diesem IAB-Regional wird die Saisonstruktur der Arbeitslosigkeit und der Beschäftigung am Wohnort Hessen auf Basis einer 50-prozentigen Stichprobe der Integrierten Erwerbsbiographien des IAB für die Jahre 2001 bis 2012 analysiert. Ziel ist, die Gründe der typischen monatlichen Veränderungen der Arbeitslosigkeit zu beschreiben und inhaltlich zu untersuchen, bzw. Abweichungen von derselben durch Zuhilfenahme eines Benchmarkings aufzudecken. Dazu werden die typischen saisonalen Bewegungen der Arbeitslosigkeit und der Beschäftigung in Hessen in ihre Komponenten zerlegt. Zentrale Ergebnisse sind, dass Zu- und Abgänge aus bzw. in Beschäftigung, obwohl diese nur etwas über ein Drittel der gesamten Zu- und Abgänge zur Arbeitslosigkeit darstellen, zumindest in der ersten Jahreshälfte Haupttriebkräfte der Saisonstruktur sind."
