Abstract

"Employment is considered an important prerequisite for participation in social life. We examine the question of how a job loss affects an individual’s risk of material deprivation and social exclusion. Moreover, we show how losing one’s job affects individual well-being. We consider both objective as well as subjective indicators, such as perceived social status and individual sense of social belonging." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
