Abstract

"A first and provisional assessment values the scheme to be considerably successful. 19 months after the start-up 75 to 84 per cent of the programme participants, which had been unemployed before, are still self-employed and another six to twelve per cent are in dependent employment again. The largest part of them is also gaining a sufficient income. However, social security efforts of the young entrepreneurs could still be increased. Deadweight effects, which had been object of a vehement public and political debate are evidently smaller than expected." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
