Abstract

"Especially for new firms, the economic crisis might hold chances. In times when many firms close down, new niches and new possibilities emerge for innovative ideas and concepts. The 'Global Entrepreneurship Monitor' (GEM) was held for the 10th time in 2009 to estimate the extent of entrepreneurial activities in Germany. Thus the economic crisis shows to have no influence on the number of planned or already founded new businesses." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
