Abstract

"Anfang April haben die ersten Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler des Pilotprojektes zum Aufbau und zur Erprobung eines Forschungsdatenzentrums der BA die Arbeit aufgenommen. Wesentliche Ziele des Projektes sind die Entwicklung einer funktionsfähigen Organisationsstruktur sowie die zielgerichtete Aufbereitung und Bereitstellung von kaum anonymisierbaren Mikrodaten der BA unter Wahrung des rechtlichen Rahmens, insbesondere des Datenschutzes. Die Daten werden dokumentiert und danach über kontrollierte Fernrechnungen oder bei einem Gastaufenthalt von Forschern im FDZ verfügbar gemacht. Daneben sollen im FDZ auch faktisch anonymisierte Datensätze, so genannte Scientific Use Files (SUF), aktualisiert werden. Workshops und Nutzerkonferenzen ergänzen das Angebot. Seit Anfang Mai 2004 ist die 'Schalterstelle des IAB-Betriebspanels' in das FDZ integriert und steht damit wieder zur Verfügung. Das Schalterstellenmodell soll Zug um Zug auf weitere Datenquellen ausgedehnt werden. Der geplante Service soll den Datenzugang deutlich erleichtern und einen Beitrag zur Optimierung des Dienstleistungsangebots der BA leisten." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
