IT-Krise und Arbeitslosigkeit: Von der Green Card zur Red Card?

Abstract

Die Arbeitslosigkeit im IT-Bereich macht auch vor Green Card-Inhabern nicht halt. Eine Fallstudie in München ergab, dass rund sieben Prozent der Personen, denen dort eine Green Card erteilt wurde, später arbeitslos waren. Forderten Ausländerbehörden Arbeitslose früher vielfach zur umgehenden Ausreise auf, wurde ihre Praxis in der letzten Zeit liberaler. Dennoch sind aufenthaltsrechtliche Entscheidungen häufig noch uneinheitlich und restriktiv. Dies wird als Ausgeliefertsein und Willkür erlebt, wie ein einschlägiger Chatroom zeigt. Dort überlegen IT-Fachkräfte auch, aus der Bundesrepublik abzuwandern und anderen von einer Einwanderung abzuraten. Ausländische Fachkräfte sollten bei Arbeitsplatzverlust genügend Zeit für die Suche nach einer neuen Stelle haben. (IAB2)
