Arbeitsvolumen steigt wieder dank mehr Beschäftigung (Arbeitszeit und Arbeitsvolumen, Teil 1)

Abstract

Der Bericht erläutert, wie sich die Revision der Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnung des Statistischen Bundesamtes auf die gesamtwirtschaftliche Arbeitszeitrechnung auswirkt. Die Neuberechnungen weisen - vor allem durch die umfassendere Berücksichtigung der geringfügig Beschäftigten - einen größeren Anteil an Teilzeitarbeitnehmern aus als bisher angenommen. Da dieser Personenkreis kürzer arbeitet als "Normal-Teilzeitbeschäftigte" fällt die durchschnittliche Arbeitszeit je Arbeitnehmer entsprechend niedriger aus. Deshalb ist das gesamtwirtschaftliche Arbeitsvolumen deutlich weniger gestiegen, als es der Anstieg der Erwerbstätigenzahl auf den ersten Blick vermuten lässt. (IAB2)
