BIBB/IAB-Erhebung: "Unsichere" Beschäftigung trifft vor allem die Niedrigqualifizierten : aber auch viele Uni-Absolventen und -Absolventinnen arbeiten jenseits des Normalarbeitsverhältnisses

Abstract

Gut 10 Prozent der deutschen Befragten in West- und knapp 16 Prozent in Ostdeutschland arbeiten in "unsicheren" Erwerbsformen: in befristeter Beschäftigung und Leiharbeit, in geringfügiger Beschäftigung und Freier Mitarbeit. Dies ergab die BIBB/IAB-Erhebung vom Winter 1998/99, die bei rund 34.000 Erwerbstätigen durchgeführt wurde. Mit Abstand am häufigsten betroffen sind Personen ohne Ausbildungsabschluss - in West wie in Ost. Hochschulabsolventen sind - vor allem im Westen - die am zweithäufigsten betroffene Gruppe. "Unsichere" Beschäftigung ist bei fast allen Qualifikationsstufen vor allem ein Problem der Frauen und der Jüngeren. Im Osten arbeiten jedoch auch viel Ältere unsicher. Dies könnte eine Folge der Entwertung von Qualifikationen nach der Wiedervereinigung sein. (IAB2)
