Abstract

"In order to take regional labour market disparities into account in the management control system, the Federal Employment Agency (BA) utilizes a classification scheme that has been developed for this purpose by the Institute for Employment Research (IAB). Local employment agencies are classified into different groups called comparison types. Agencies of one type are similar in terms of attributes that affect the success of labor market policies, but cannot be influenced in the short-term by the local agencies. The previous version of the present classification was now updated after four years. It was also investigated whether current immigration has a significant impact on the regional differences in the integration outcomes and should therefore be included in the classification procedure. The proceedings and results of the new classification are reported here." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
