Abstract

Das IAB-Betriebspanel wird seit 1993 in den alten Bundesländern und seit 1996 auch in den neuen Bundesländern durchgeführt. Dabei werden Unternehmen in regelmäßigen Abständen zu folgenden Themen befragt: Beschäftigungsentwicklung, betriebliche Investitionen, Personalpolitik, Berufsausbildung, Löhne und Gehälter, Arbeitszeiten etc. Um externen Forschern die Nutzung der Daten zu ermöglichen, wurde im März 1999 eine vom BMBF finanzierte Schalterstelle beim IAB-Betriebspanel eingerichtet, die seit April 2004 im Forschungsdatenzentrum der BA im IAB fortgeführt wird. Das vorliegende Codebuch - in der sechsten Auflage - soll den Zugang zu den Daten des IAB-Betriebspanels erleichtern. Neben einer Beschreibung des Datensatzes und der darin enthaltenen Variablen enthält es außerdem eine Grundauszählung der Befragungsergebnisse für die Jahre 1993 bis 2005. (IAB)
