Abstract

Tous ceux qui ont travaillé un jour ou l'autre sur des données concernant la mobilité urbaine savent que derrière les valeurs moyennes se cache une très grande variabilité du phénomène. Même si ces moyennes peuvent être rapportées à des variables explicatives de nature socio-économique, des différences considérables subsistent entre les comportements individuels qui ne sont explicables par rien, sinon par un facteur personnel. Dans ces conditions, plus la taille de l'échantillon est petite, plus l'importance de ces facteurs personnels s'accroît, et les résultats peuvent à la limite être sans signification. Ce rapport aborde cet aspect.
