Firms submitted corporate challenges relating to digital business models across several industries, and a community of academic experts and open innovation practitioners solve it. Challenge #1: AVERY DENNISON (How can Avery Dennison, as a materials company and producer of master rolls of laminated label media stay competitive and adapt to the changes in the industry? How can Avery disrupt itself?) Challenge #2: ENEL (How to extracted, refined, valued from its huge data base?) Challenge #3: TECH MAHINDRA (How to capture value from an open source platform?) Challenge #4: HYGGE ENERGY (How could digitalization help HYGGE Energy change how energy is sourced and to disrupt the business model of the big players?) Challenge #5: BBVA (What could be the digitalization opportunities that BBVA does not see? What could be the business model to attract customers that are not with BBVA yet?) Challenge #6: JOHNSON CONTROLS (How can Johnson Controls, a B2B business, connect to the users of its products, which are not its direct clients?) Challenge #7: SIEMENS (What are the potential future opportunities offered by digitalization?)
