Abstract

Un monde rural se disloque, un autre monde se cherche. A côté de structures et de modes de vle collective qul ne réponsent plus aux besoins de ce temps, on voit poindre, dans les campagnes françaises, tout un foisonnement d'initlative qui tentent d'lnstaurer de nouvelles modalltés d'organisation, de régulatlon et d'existence collectlves. Beaucoup de ces inltlatives se situent à un nlveau micro-régional, intermédiaire entre l'échelon communal et les instances départementales, à la jonction des collectlvrtr,e rcreLes des organisations professionnelles , des dlverses formes de la vie associative. Qu'il s'agisse d'actions professionnelles s'élargissant aux autres secteurs d'activités, ou d'opérations d'aménagement, d'animatlon à visée plus globale, toutes suggèrent qu'à côté d'un développement dont les centres de décision sont extérieurs à la petite région, un autre mode de développement, plus endogène et ascendant, a aussi sa place et sa chance. Pourquoi, comment naissent, se déroulent ces initiatives de développement micro-régional; quelle est leur nature et leur logique sur quoi ont-elles effectivement prise, tel est le thème de cette première recherche.
